Doha, Qatar: A dashboard tool at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) enables medical teams to improve patient care and reduce harm by providing fast and accurate data on sepsis — a life — threatening emergency. 

The dashboard is part of a comprehensive programme implemented to improve sepsis care across the HMC hospitals.

Nursing informatics has contributed important and predictive data to the sepsis dashboard, which benefit patients and medical teams.   

“The integration of nursing informatics not only supports the mission to combat sepsis but also exemplifies the transformative impact of data-driven research in healthcare,” according to Dr. Abdulsalam Saif, Division Head-Medicine Critical Care, HMC Sepsis Lead.

“This innovative approach involves leveraging meaningful data and predictive models to enhance diagnostic accuracy and efficiency, enabling quicker and more precise sepsis intervention.
