Doha, Qatar: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC)’s emergency services across the country have reported a seamless delivery of services during the ongoing Eid Al Adha holiday period.
HMC officials speaking to The Peninsula indicated that all cases attended to during the first days of holidays were classified as minor or moderate, with no notable increase in the overall number of incidents compared to non-holiday periods.
This performance underscores the preparedness and efficiency of emergency services in handling public health and safety concerns during holidays. HMC’s main Emergency Department at Hamad General Hospital (HGH), Ambulance Service, and Paediatric Emergency Centres (PEC) continues to serve thousands of patients 24 hours throughout the Eid holidays.
HGH’s Emergency Department has treated more than 1020 patients over two days. On Monday 465 patients were present at the Emergency Department, among them 436 cases were treated and discharged home and 29 were admitted.
