So, for the first time ever for Southwest Airlines, a mother-daughter duo flew the same plane together. Yes, you read that right. Captain Holly Petitt and First Officer Keely Petitt created history after piloting an airplane from Denver to St. Louis on July 23. A video of their heartwarming story has gone viral online and is just too good to miss out on.
The now-viral video posted by Now This on Twitter. The clip starts with Holly Petitt welcoming the passengers onboard and giving them the awesome news. “Thank you all for being here. This is a very exciting day for us and for Southwestern Airlines. A very special day. We are the first mother-daughter duo ever on the deck of Southwestern Airlines.
As per the video, Holly has been working in the aviation industry since graduating from college and has been working for Southwestern Airlines for the past 18 years. Keely also followed in her mother’s footsteps and had a passion for flying since the age of 14.
