A day after Prashant Kishor criticised Nitish Kumar’s rule in Bihar, the Bihar CM has hit back at the poll strategist, calling his opinion “not important”.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has hit back at poll strategist Prashant Kishor after the latter claimed that Bihar has not developed in the last 15 years.
"Everyone is aware whether I have done anything or not in the last 15 years. I am not bothered that what someone is saying. That is not important for me. What is important for me is truth and the truth is that everyone knows how much work has happened in the last 15 years", Nitish Kumar said in response to Prashan Kishor’s comment.
During a press conference on Thursday, Prashant Kishor had alleged that with Nitish Kumar being at the helm of affairs in the state, Bihar has continued to remain the “poorest and most backward state” in the country.
"After 30 years of rule by Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad, Bihar is the poorest and most backward state in India. If Bihar wants to develop, it can't walk on the path it has been walking for the last 10-15 years. It needs a new direction," Prashant Kishor said during a press conference in Patna.
The poll strategist had alleged that education, health and employment opportunities were in a very pathetic condition in Bihar under the Nitish Kumar-led government.
In response, CM Nitish Kumar said that Prashant Kishore’s opinion was “not important”. Notably, this is Nitish Kumar’s remark on Friday is his first response to Prashant Kishor’s return to Bihar amid speculation that the poll strategist will soon be floating his own political party.
Prashant Kishor said that will be meeting 17,000-18,000 people in the next few months and will embark on 3000 km padyatra of Bihar on October 2.
