Hindu Jagarana Vedike activists tried to attack a Muslim youth alleging love jihad in Karnataka's Udupi.
Hindu Jagarana Vedike activists on Friday tried to attack an interfaith couple in Karnataka's Udupi. Some members of the right-wing group alleged that it is a case of 'love jihad'.
The couple, a Hindu woman and a Muslim youth, hails from Koteshwara town of Udupi.
The activists of the right-wing group gathered outside Puttur Police Station, alleging 'love jihad', when its members were questioned by the police in connection with the incident.

This comes a day after right-wing activists stopped an interfaith marriage, terming the wedding a case of love jihad, in Chikkamagaluru.
In his complaint, the Muslim youth had said that he was in a relationship with a Hindu woman and they decided to marry at a sub-registrar's office. But, according to the youth, members of a right-wing outfit assaulted him and stopped the wedding.
