Hijab-saffron shawl row: Two detained for flashing knives in Karnataka’s Kundapur

As per the complaint filed by Sub-Inspector Sadashiva Gavaroji, around five to six people had flashed knives and threatened others.
At least two people were detained by police for flashing knives during the ongoing hijab-saffron shawl row in the Kundapur town of Udupi district in Karnataka on February 5.
As per the complaint filed by Sub-Inspector Sadashiva Gavaroji, around five to six people had flashed knives and threatened others. The police detained two people while the rest managed to flee the spot.
The detained persons have been identified as Haji Abdul Majeed Gangolli (32) and Rajab Gangolli (41).

Abdul Majeed was a rowdy-sheeter and seven cases have been registered against him in Gangolli Police Station whereas one case was registered against Rajab.
A case was filed at Kundapur Police Station in the matter.
