Hundreds of Muslim students raised placards and chanted slogans in protest of a hijab ban in Karnataka. The students of Aliah University took the pro-hijab protest to the streets of Kolkata.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka High Court referred the hijab matter to a larger bench while the government imposed prohibitory orders in Bengaluru to prevent further protests for and against hijab in colleges.
