
HIA achieves ISO certification for its information security management system

Doha: Hamad International Airport (HIA), managed by MATAR, the Qatar Company for Airports Management and Operation, has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, following an extensive assessment of the Airport’s Information Security Management System by Bureau Veritas in October 2020.
ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is a globally recognised certification for Information Security Management System. Achieving this certification affirms the Airport’s ongoing commitment to implement industry best practise to manage airport’s information security and to continuously enhance its information security management system. While striving to provide a seamless and secure experience for HIA’s customers; the airport has developed and implemented an effective Information Security Management System that complies with one of the most stringent international standards and enables further resilience against cyber risks. During the official handover ceremony at HIA, the ISO certificate was presented to Suhail Kamil Kadri, Senior Vice President (SVP) Technology & Innovation at HIA, by Hossam Refaey, Country Chief Executive of Bureau Veritas.More Related News
