Heropanti 2 Movie Review: Tiger Shroff, Nawazuddin Siddiqui film is full paisa vasool

Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Heropanti 2 is a paisa vasool entertainer. But, it comes with its own flaws. The film released today, April 29.
What constitutes a Tiger Shroff film? Aerial kicks, a dollop of romance and a dash of misfit storyline is the perfect recipe and that is exactly what Heropanti 2 is. Starring Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Heropanti 2 is the much-awaited sequel to the film of the same name, which also featured Kriti Sanon.
The story begins with the introduction of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays the role of a magician, digital fraudster and caring brother - Laila - all rolled into one. The story revolves around Laila (Nawazuddin) and Babloo Rawat (Tiger Shroff). While Babloo is constantly dodging Laila's attacks, he is also trying to romance Laila's sister, Inaaya (Tara Sutaria). What follows is a tussle between the heart and the mind and of course, between Babloo and Laila. Who wins? Does Babloo lose this time and will there be a third instalment to the popular franchise? Well, guess you would have to watch to know!
In the sequel, Babloo Ranawat is RJ, and a changed man now. We are introduced to his mother, played by Amrita Singh. The scenes between the duo seem stretched, and somewhat unnecessary. The story moves forward to show how Babloo ditched his life in India to move abroad and start a new chapter.
Be it the way Nawazuddin has stepped into the character of Laila or how he tackles action sequences, he is like butter on bread. His acting prowess is on clear display and he is a delight to watch. Tiger, as an actor, is his usual phenomenal self. He owns every scene, nails the action sequences and even gives romantic scenes a try. In one particular scene, where Tara and Tiger are left with no option but to fight for their lives, the actor shines and how!
Tara Sutaria AKA Inaaya plays the role of Tiger Shroff's love interest. However, the actress has limited screen time and an even lesser role to play in the plot. The story moves forward to introduce Laila's plan of stealing money from every citizen of India via his app called Pulse.
Helmed by choreographer-turned-filmmaker Ahmed Khan, the film has been shot in exotic locations with music given by maestro AR Rahman. However, this is not the regular Rahman music you might be expecting. Dafa Kar or Whistle Baja 2.0, the songs are catchy and stay with you even after the credits roll. They are cheeky and totally what we would expect from a masala entertainer. Tiger Shroff also turned singer with his debut song, Miss Hairan, which we can safely say is the new party number in town.
However, what failed to work was the storyline. With many gaps in the plot and unnecessary scenes, the 2-hour-22-minute movie could have easily been cut to an hour if not more. A bit more focus on the storyline, plot and character development are what Heropanti 2 lacked.
