Here's what's happening around Hamilton and area this Labour Day weekend

It's the Labour Day long weekend and if you're in Hamilton there's no shortage of things to do and places to go.
From the Labour Day parade and picnic, to the world's biggest inflatable obstacle course and the AfroJazz Festival, there's something for everyone.
The annual tradition continues this Labour Day with a parade followed by a picnic and gathering back at Bayfront Park.
Organized by Hamilton and District Labour Council, the parade will start promptly at 10:30 a.m. and will take the same route as in 2022:

The world's biggest inflatable obstacle course is making a stop in Hamilton this weekend.
Known as The Monster, it dares you to let loose your inner child for the ultimate bouncy castle experience.
You'll be able to run, bounce and jump your way around 300 metres of inflatable fun and regress to your childhood as you take on 42 brand new obstacles including an 18-metre mega slide, a tunnel of love, and the bouncy cage of doom.
It's all happening at FirstOntario Centre. Tickets are available here with remaining time limited.
The Black & Gold Patio Party — a celebration of the long standing rivalry between Hamilton and Toronto, in hiphop form — is being held from Sunday at 5:30 p.m. to Monday at 1 a.m. at 293 Barton Street East.

The Canadian Center for Family Unity (CCF), in partnership with RIFCSO and Center Francophone Hamilton will present the 2023 AfroJazz Festival on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bayfront Park. Admission is free.
The Hungrystan Food Festival is being held from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton Convention Centre and promises to be a gastronomic journey like no other.
