President of Northern Escape Heli-Skiing, John Forrest, confirmed it had an “incident” north of Terrace.
The Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Victoria told CTV News it received a call for a helicopter crash around 4:30 p.m.
It put a CH-149 Cormorant on standby, but stood it down around 5:15 p.m. when an update came in that the situation was resolved locally.
The centre said patients were taken to hospital.
There is no word on how many people were in the helicopter, or what condition they are in.
