Seit Innenministerin Nancy Faeser (SPD) für eine „positive“ Umdeutung des Heimatbegriffs plädierte, wird wieder über dessen Bedeutung debattiert. Dabei sind die Vorstellungen so vielfältig wie veränderlich. Durch Migration sind sie noch komplexer geworden.
Vieles entsteht beim Herumstromern in der Pubertät. Beim Erobern der Umgebung. „Sich heimisch zu fühlen heißt, die Abkürzungen zu kennen, die Schleichwege durch den Wald oder durch die Nebenstraße“, sagt Uwe Holz. Geboren 1962 im Schwarzwald, ist er heute Kulturamtsleiter im Landkreis Anhalt-Bitterfeld in Sachsen-Anhalt. Um solche Abkürzungen weiß der Heimatexperte sowohl auf dem Dorf als auch in Plattenbausiedlungen.
