Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely in several West Bengal districts in next 2 days

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur over several districts of West Bengal in the next two days. Yellow and orange alerts have also been issued in some parts of the state.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall across several districts of West Bengal, and heavy to very heavy downpour in some parts of the state from Friday to Sunday (June 18 to June 20). On Friday, an orange alert (heavy to very heavy) was issued at one or two places across South 24 Pargana, East Midnapore, West Midnapore, West Burdwan and Birbhum districts. Meanwhile, a yellow alert (heavy rain) was issued in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Alipurduar and Kolkata, North 24 Pargana, Nadia, East Burdwan, Murshidabad, Howrah, Hooghly, Purulia, Jhargram and Bankura districts of Gangetic West Bengal.More Related News
