Heavy rains lash Tamil Nadu, one killed in wall collapse incident, flight to Thoothukudi diverted

Heavy rains in Tamil Nadu led to a wall collapse incident, killing a 5-year-old, while flights were diverted due to inclement weather.

As heavy rains lash Tamil Nadu, the Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai predicted more rains for the state with heavy rain and thunderstorms at isolated places in four districts and moderate rains in several parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal areas.

In Thanjavur, a 5-year-old child was killed after a wall of their home collapsed due to incessant rains. The incident took place at Chinna Muthandipatti near Puthalur in Thanjavur district.
