Heavy rain leaves Delhi-NCR flooded, more showers on the cards
India Today
Heavy rains continued to lash Delhi-NCR for the third consecutive day, leading to waterlogging and massive traffic jam in several areas of the city.
For the third consecutive day, Delhi-NCR witnessed incessant rains. The heavy downpour has left the national capital grappling as normal life came to a halt in the city. Meanwhile, the weather department has forecast more rain on Friday.
Waterlogged areas and massive traffic jams have become a common scene over the past two days as heavy rains submerged several parts of the city.
The heavy rains also led to a portion of a road caving in near Satya Niketan and only two lanes of the four are functional due to which heavy traffic was reported on the stretch. Incessant rains pounding the city also led to uprooting of trees that caused massive traffic snarls in many parts of the city.

A day before, the Delhi Traffic Police Helpline received 23 calls related to traffic jam, seven regarding waterlogging and two related to uprooting of trees from various parts of the city.
The fresh spells of rains would keep the air clean and the temperature in check.
The minimum temperature in the city was recorded one notch above normal at 22 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is expected to settle at around 28 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
