Heavy police presence in Exeter, Ont. for second day in a row

Residents and businesses in downtown Exeter were evacuated while police conducted an ongoing investigation.
Residents in Exeter, Ont. once again dealt with an increased police presence while Huron OPP dealt with an ongoing investigation for the second day in a row.
On Thursday, police were in the same area for a stolen vehicle investigation. They searched a home and one person was arrested without incident.
Heavily armed OPP officers could be seen in the downtown core Friday afternoon.
It's not clear who or what they were looking for, but John Street and Main Street South had sections that were closed to motorists. John Street was also closed between Andrew Street and Main Street South.
Additionally, Main Street South was closed between Huron Street and Wellington Street.
Truck drivers were encouraged to avoid Exeter and use Morrison Line and Airport Line.
Police have now cleared the area and have re-opened all roadways previously closed.
