Heatwave grips parts of Rajasthan, temperature above 40 degree Celsius in Churu

The maximum temperature in Rajasthan's Churu district was recorded at 40.3 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours. The India Meteorological department (IMD) has warned of heatwave like conditions in the state with temperature crossing above the 40-degree mark in Churu for the last six days.
Many parts of Rajasthan have been grappling with a heatwave with the temperature crossing above the 40 degree-mark in Churu . The temperatures in four Rajasthan districts, including Churu, were recorded above the 40-degree mark, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
In the last 24 hours, Churu clocked a maximum temperature of 40.3 degrees Celsius.
The temperature in Churu has been above the 40-degrees mark for the past six days and there has been no substantial change in the night temperature during the last 24 hours. The district's temperature has been ranging between 40.6 to 40.3 degree Celsius. In many parts of the state, the normal temperatures were above normal in the past 24 hours, the IMD said.

Notably, the weather department had given a heatwave warning for Bikaner and Churu and the latter has been swept by hot gusty winds for several days.
