
Health Ministry official inspects facilities, services at Jipmer

Jaideep Kumar Mishra inspects Jipmer facilities, inaugurates telemedicine services to improve healthcare access for rural and urban populations.
Jaideep Kumar Mishra, Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, concluded a two-day visit to Jipmer to inspect the facilities and services at the institution.
According to a press note, Mr. Mishra visited the outpatient and inpatient services at Jipmer during the peak hours and interacted with healthcare professionals/authorities regarding the challenges they faced.
He took stock of various patient amenities, including common waiting areas, toilet and water facilities and parking area.
During the visit, Mr. Mishra inaugurated the new telemedicine services at Jipmer Urban Health Centre, Jipmer Rural Health Centre Telemedicine, and Mobile Telemedicine van services. Through the initiative, Jipmer expects to widen coverage of rural and urban population at their doorstep and connect patients to the super specialty consultations available on main Jipmer campus, the press note added.
