The Bombay High Court on Friday refused to quash the summonses issued by the Enforcement Directorate to former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in a case of alleged money laundering and corruption.
The Bombay High Court on Friday refused to quash the summonses issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in a case of alleged money laundering and corruption, and noted he has failed to prove probe agencies had been acting in a malafide manner against him.
A bench of Justices Nitin Jamdar and SV Kotwal also rejected Deshmukh's prayer to restrain the ED and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) from taking any coercive action against him.
