On Thursday Kamal Nath played down the importance of exit polls and underlined his belief that the people of Madhya Pradesh would deliver a big win for his party.
Congress leader Kamal Nath has declared himself "very confident" that his party will win the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly election. Speaking to news agency ANI Sunday morning, shortly after counting votes began with postal ballots, the former Chief Minister said, "I have not seen any trends, I don't need to look at any trends till 11 am. I am very confident, I trust the voters of Madhya Pradesh..." "We will get the mandate of the people," he stressed.
In very early leads the ruling BJP and the Congress were neck-and-neck in the race to form the next Madhya Pradesh government. The state has 230 Assembly seats and the majority mark is 116.
