Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne has told India Today TV that they have asked neighbours Dominica to deport Mehul Choksi to India after he was arrested on Wednesday night.
Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne has said in an exclusive interview with India Today TV that they have asked the Dominican government to detain Mehul Choksi and have him deported directly to India. Fugitive diamond trader Mehul Choksi, who had recently fled from Antigua and Barbuda, was captured in neighbouring Dominica after an Interpol Yellow Notice was issued against him. Indian agencies and authorities are now exploring options of bringing him back to India, sources said. Meanwhile, Gaston Browne has said, “We have asked the Dominican government to detain him for entering their country illegally and to make him persona non-grata and have him deported directly to India.”More Related News
