Former Pakistan batting coach Younis Khan has said that his resignation had nothing to do with the spat with Hasan Ali during the South Africa tour. Younis asserted that his relation with the current team management was cordial.

The former Pakistan great added that what happened between Ali and him during the South Africa tour was in the heat of the moment, adding that such incidents happen on tours. He also suggested that Hasan Ali's name should not be dragged in the middle as he is on a national duty currently and the rumour can divert his mind.
