It was a nail-biting match and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that the whole country’s eyes were glued to the television screens. Hardik Pandya was, of course, the highlight of the match, who wooed not just his fans but critics with his swashbuckling performance.
Pandya scored 33 runs off just 17 balls. In the final over, on the fourth ball, Pandya hit a six which sealed the deal for the Indian side. However, what grabbed the netizens’ attention was his superb confident nod to Dinesh Kartik. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that it has become the fodder for memes and guess what, even Union Minister Smriti Irani shared her take on the viral meme.
India needed 6 runs to win from 4 balls. Mohammad Nawaz was bowling the last over when Hardik gestured towards Dinesh Karthik indicating that he has all things under control. Well, his confidence did pay off as he hit a 6 on the fourth ball. The reaction has gone viral on social media.
