Hardik Pandya getting closer to playing but Mumbai Indians won’t rush him back, says bowling coach Shane Bond

Mumbai Indians bowling coach Shane Bond on Thursday said that Hardik Pandya is getting closer to match fitness but the franchise will not rush him back. Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Mumbai Indians by seven wickets in their IPL match.

Hardik Pandya’s absence from Mumbai Indians playing XI for the last two Indian Premier League (IPL) matches has raised questions about his fitness, as the star all-rounder is being picked by Indian selectors for the upcoming T20 World Cup to be held in UAE and Oman, later this year.

Pandya, who has hardly bowled ever since returning to action after back surgery last year, is yet to be featured in the Mumbai Indians squad so far.
