Harbhajan Singh 'regrets' not playing at Eden Gardens: Feeling good that IPL is happening in India

Kolkata Knight Riders' new recruit Harbhajan Singh laments not being able to play at the Eden Gardens in the upcoming 14th season of the Indian Premier League.
Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh is excited to join the Kolkata Knight Riders’ camp for IPL 2021 but expressed slight regret over the fact that the KKR won't be playing at the Eden Gardens this season. Notably, two-time champions KKR bought Harbhajan at the auction at his base price of Rs 2 crore but they won't be playing any match at Eden Gardens. According to the IPL schedule, KKR are scheduled to play their league stage encounters in Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Bangalore. Harbhajan said that he would’ve been happier if he had an opportunity to play the Eden Gardens, as the venue is a ‘special ground’ for him. "I have very good memories from Eden - Test cricket, ODI cricket - whatever cricket I have played there, even the two titles we had won there for the Mumbai Indians. That is a special ground for me and there will be no cricket there, that small regret will be there but it is an opportunity for me as a player to just go out and be happy about playing cricket," Harbhajan Singh said while speaking on Star Sports.More Related News
