Families of patients admitted to hospitals in Gurugram struggled throughout the day to arrange medical oxygen amid an acute shortage.
Faced with an acute shortage of medical oxygen, kin of patients admitted to Gurugram hospitals have been asked to arranged oxygen on their own. After Delhi, the crisis has now hit Gurugram, compelling families to run from pillar to post for oxygen. Two critically ill Covid-19 patients who were on ventilator support at the Center of Diabetes and Allied Sciences (CDAS) died on Sunday evening due to oxygen shortage, according to the hospital management. With this, the number of deaths in the district due to oxygen shortage touched six - all reported in the last two days. Dr. S Raghunandan, Vice-President, CDAS, told IndiaToday TV that they alerted the local administration about the shortage two hours before the supplies ran low, but did not get any help.More Related News
