Hamilton police have arrested four men they say, after linking a pair of recent homicides that killed 17-year-old Keden Bond and 19-year-old Sabir Hassen Omer.
"These two daylight, brazen shootings occurred with no concern for public safety," Det. Sgt. Jim Callendar told reporters on Friday morning.
The first shooting took place on Aug. 6.
Callendar said three people were standing in the back parking lot at 288 Mud Street West around 7:30 p.m. that day when two armed people approached and fired multiple rounds at them.
Bond was critically injured and police say he was pronounced dead at hospital.
A 35-year-old man suffered "life-altering injuries" and a 25-year-old man was treated in hospital before being released, according to Callendar.
About a month later, on Sept. 14, Omer was in a Tim Hortons parking lot at 239 King St. W., with someone he knew.
