Hamad Medical Corporation calls on public to donate blood

Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation’s Qatar Blood Services has thanked the thousands who regularly donate blood and called on all members of the community to consider becoming blood donors.
World Blood Donor Day takes place internationally on 14 June each year. The aim is to raise global awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products for transfusion and of the critical contribution voluntary blood donors. Chairperson of HMC’s Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, Dr Einas Al Kuwari said blood donors make an essential contribution by keeping the world pulsating by saving lives and improving others’ health.
