Amish Tripathi's remarks come a day after the Hindu side claimed to have found a shivling inside a well within the Gyanvapi mosque complex.
The controversy around the Gyanvapi mosque complex is not a Hindu-Muslim issue but a foreigner-Indian issue, acclaimed author and the director of The Nehru Centre in the UK, Amish Tripathi, told India Today TV. This comes a day after the Hindu side claimed to have found a shivling inside a well within the mosque premises.

“Aurangzab was a tyrant. That Aurangzeb demolished a temple to build the mosque, is beyond debate,” he said, adding that Indians should get to choose their role models.
