Gurugram sees highest daily jump in Covid tally with over 1,000 new cases

For the first time this year, Gurugram surpassed 1,000 daily Covid-19 cases, with 1,084 people testing positive for the virus on Sunday.

The Gurugram district on Sunday recorded 1,084 new Covid-19 cases, the highest number of positive cases in a single day so far. This is the second day in a row that more than 800 fresh cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Gurugram. According to the health bulletin issued by the district health department, Gurugram now has 5,549 active Covid-19 cases, of which 5,165 patients are in home isolation. The silver lining, however, is that no fatalities were recorded.
