A suspected member of Venezuela’s Tren De Aragua gang who was busted with a crew of gun-toting migrant squatters in a Bronx apartment is now in the custody federal immigration authorities.
Yerbin Benjamin Lozada Munoz was arrested during a traffic stop on Long Island, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement said in a statement.
Lozada will remain in custody pending removal proceedings, the statement read.
He first entered the US at Eagle Pass, Texas in October 2022, officials added.
He was subsequently released into the US due to overcrowding, ICE said.
Lozada and seven others were arrested by the NYPD last week when one of them pointed a 9 mm CZ pistol at someone on the Bronx property they commandeered, police said at the time.
