
Gujarat's Valsad inundated as water enters residential areas after heavy rainfall

Due to heavy rainfall in Gujarat's Valsad, low-lying areas have been flooded and flood water entered residential homes.
Heavy rains lashed parts of Gujarat's Valsad region on Saturday night, leading to inundation in various low-lying areas. Drone footage showed an aerial view of the devastation caused by the incessant rainfall in the region. Very heavy rain pounded Valsad district on Saturday night and Sunday morning, adding to the woes of the people.
The Auranaga river has overflown and several low-lying areas in Valsad have been flooded due to heavy rainfall.
Normal life was thrown out of gear as river water entered residential areas in Valsad and water levels of various rivers have swelled due to torrential rainfall.
The water level in Ahwani river rose in which a bridge was destroyed. The district administration has restricted the movement of people in the area.
The areas surrounding the Auranga river were water-logged following incessant rainfall in the region. There was flooding in some low-lying areas of Valsad after water level in the Auranga river rose.
However, people heaved a sigh of relief as no rainfall was recorded for more than five hours. Due to the high tide due to which water stopped flowing into the sea. The water started flowing into the sea after the high tide stopped and water has receded to a large extent.
