An appeal against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a 2002 Gujarat riots case by the wife of a Congress MP killed in the violence was "devoid of merits", the Supreme Court said on Friday, upholding the exoneration of the then Chief Minister of the state by a Special Investigation Team.
Mr Chadha pointed out that the three seats in which the AAP emerged victorious had never been won by the party before.
