Gujarat polls: Arvind Kejriwal promises 10 lakh govt jobs at rally in Chhotaudepur

Arvind Kejriwal, who is on a two-day visit to Gujarat, addressed a public rally in the tribal-dominated Chhotaudepur district.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has intensified its campaign in Gujarat ahead of assembly elections. On his two-day visit to Gujarat, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal visited the tribal-dominated Chhotaudepur district.

Addressing a huge crowd in Bodeli village, Kejriwal made a fierce attack on the ruling BJP government. Kejriwal raised the issue of the recent hooch tragedy where over 45 people died.

Kejriwal raised the issue and said why Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel did not visit the families of the victims. Kejriwal further stated that Bhupendra Patel did not even go to the hospital to meet the victims.Arvind Kejriwal at the tribal public meeting said, "A few days back, a hooch tragedy happened in Gujarat. So many people died while so many were admitted to Bhavnagar hospital. When I got to know about the incident, I came from Delhi and met them in hospital at Bhavnagar. I spoke to them in the hospital."

Arvind Kejriwal further said, "They (the victims) said bootleggers came and sold alcohol openly. I felt very bad because the chief minister of Gujarat did not have any time to meet them. Till today, CM Bhupendra Patel has not reached the village. He did not even meet family members who lost their loved ones. What is the use of such government, such party ? At such times, if they don't stand with you or support you, what is the use? I found out a lot of alcohol sales happened. Thousands of crores of alcohol is sold in Gujarat. Who earns from them? If you vote for them (BJP) they will make your children drink alcohol. If you vote for me, I will give education and medical, if you give vote to BJP they will give you spurious liquor."Attacking the Congress party, Arvind Kejriwal said, "Enough of love between Congress and BJP. Don't vote for Congress at all. All Congress leaders are now in the BJP. Vote for us, new faces, new thoughts and get medical benefits and education."

AAP chief said, "They are abusing and accusing me that I am giving free rewadis? I don't have a bank balance. I am not taking money to Swiss bank."

While concluding his speech, Arvind Kejriwal said, "When we make government in Gujarat, in just three months we will give free electricity. Each and every paper is leaked here in Gujarat. This government should resign. Every youth will get a job in Gujarat. Till the time they don't get job, they will get 3 thousand per month. Full planning is already made. We will give 10 lakh government jobs. They cannot do it, we are capable. We will do it."
