The Gujarat government has decided to lift the night curfew imposed in Ahmedabad and Vadodara from Friday, February 25.
With a sharp drop in coronavirus cases, the Gujarat government has decided to lift the night curfew imposed in Ahmedabad and Vadodara from Friday, February 25.
These were the only two cities in the state where a curfew between 12 midnight and 5 am was in force until now.
From Friday, there will be no restrictions on movement in these two cities, even at night.
However, certain restrictions will continue to be in place with regard to social, political, cultural and religious gatherings and activities. The government will continue to impose a 50 per cent cap on occupancy for such gatherings.
Meanwhile, for open areas, gatherings up to 75 per cent of the capacity of the arena will be allowed.
Other Covid guidelines with regard to wearing face masks, social distancing and spitting in public will remain in force.
