GT vs RCB: Anushka Sharma cheers on Virat Kohli's first half century in IPL 2022
India Today
Virat Kohli scored his first half century of the season putting up 50 runs in 45 balls against a strong Gujarat Titans' bowling line-up
Former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli stormed back into form against table toppers Gujarat Titans, scoring a stunning half century. Kohli brought his feat up in 45 balls, shouldering the RCB batting, alongside Rajat Patidar, who matched Kohli shoulder to shoulder in the middle.
This was Kohli's 43rd Indian Premier League fifty and his first in this edition. After being under massive scanner this season, Kohli finally found form against the likes of Mohammad Shami, Pradeep Sangwan and Alzarri Joseph. He started off with two boundaries in the very first over against Mohammad Shami and looked good for the larger part of the innings.
After Kohli reached his half century, Anushka Sharma was seen cheering for Virat from the stands. It has been a familiar sight for the fans and lovers of the game to see her shouting her lungs out in support of her partner.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are desperate to win this game because of their position in the points table. If they lose against Gujarat, they will be put in a precarious position and might slide further down the league table. They are currently placed in the fifth position in the league table with 10 points from nine games. They are under pressure from Delhi Capitals, who are enjoying a rich vein of form at this stage of the tournament.
