
Growing a 150,000-hectare highway for the UK's insect 'commuters'

UK conservation charity Buglife has mapped a 150,000-hectare wildflower "superhighway" called B-lines to provide habitat for insects.
The country's insect populations are in drastic decline. The results of a recent survey conducted by conservation group Buglife and the Kent Wildlife Trust found that numbers of flying insects in the UK have fallen by nearly 60% in the last 17 years. Approximately 20 bee and wasp species have gone extinct in the last 100 years and half of UK butterfly species are now threatened, according to the charity Butterfly Conservation.

A number of Jeffrey Epstein survivors voiced their concern in a private meeting with female Democratic lawmakers earlier this week about the intermittent disclosure of Epstein-related documents and photos by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, sharing that the selective publication of materials was distressing, four sources familiar with the call told CNN.
