New York Jets assistant coach Greg Knapp died Thursday after suffering severe injuries from a bicycle accident, according to a statement from his family. He was 58.
On Saturday afternoon, Knapp was struck by a car while riding his bicycle in San Ramon, California, according to officials. He was hospitalized for major injuries sustained from the accident. His family said he was immediately rendered unconscious and that he never regained consciousness again. "Greg's infectious personality is most people's first and lasting memory of him," his family said. "The phrase 'He never met a stranger' encapsulates Knapper's zest for life. He had a unique gift to make everyone feel special, and to Knapper, they all were."
Robert Morris, founding pastor of Gateway Church, a megachurch in Southlake, Texas, has been indicted on five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child, stemming from alleged incidents dating back to the 1980s, the Oklahoma attorney general's office announced Wednesday. We are aware of the actions being taken by the legal authorities in Oklahoma and are grateful for the work of the justice system in holding abusers accountable for their actions. We continue to pray for Cindy Clemishire and her family, for the members and staff of Gateway Church, and for all of those impacted by this terrible situation.
