IPL 2021: Cricket South Africa Director of Cricket, Graeme Smith empathised with the BCCI, saying bio-secure environments are never fool proof while insisting that players from his country were satisfied with the arrangements made by the Indian cricket board.
Former South Africa captain and Cricket South Africa director, Graeme Smith has said he is disappointed at the double-standards of a few players who were part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 amid the Covid-19 crisis, highlighting that their tours of South Africa were cancelled in the wake of the pandemic. IPL 2021 was suspended on May 4 due to positive Covid-19 cases in the bio-bubbles of as many as 4 franchises in Delhi in Ahmedabad. While a May 3 match was rescheduled after initial cases were reported in the Kolkata Knight Riders camp, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to postpone the tournament indefinitely after more positive cases cropped up.More Related News
