State government launching four people-centric schemes on Republic Day, involving huge expenditure for the benefit of the poor.
The State government has decided to launch four major people-centric schemes on January 26, coinciding with the Republic Day.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said though the implementation of these schemes would involve huge expenditure, the government, after holding elaborate consultations, had decided to launch them in the interests of the poor. The government had already constituted Indiramma committees at the village-level and it was decided to rope in these groups in the effective implementation of the new schemes.
Mr. Bhatti Vikramarka was speaking at the conference of the district collectors here on Friday. He said the in-charge ministers of the erstwhile undivided districts should select the beneficiaries under various schemes in consultation with the Indiramma committees. Steps should be taken to display the list of beneficiaries under Rythu Bharosa, Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa, ration cards and Indiramma Illu schemes in all the villages.
The government would issue detailed instructions over the implementation of the four schemes and beneficiaries should be selected based on them. Officials should also take steps to ensure people are properly informed on the details of the ₹22,000 crore farm loan waiver implemented by the government.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID), probing the death of contractor, Sachin Panchal, who allegedly ended his life in Bidar on December 26 last year, arrested five persons, including the prime accused Rajkumar Kapnoor, a former member of the Kalaburagi Mahanagara Palike, and reportedly a follower of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister, Priyank Kharge, on Friday.
