India Today
The Congress alleged that Delhi Police personnel forcibly entered its headquarters and lathi-charged party workers and leaders on Wednesday.
As protests continued against the questioning of Rahul Gandhi by the ED, the Congress alleged that some Delhi Police personnel had forcibly entered its headquarters and beat up party workers and leaders on Wednesday, June 15.
Calling it ‘goondaism’, Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said, "In an act of absolute goondaism perpetuated by the Delhi Police at the instance of the Modi government, the police today forcibly entered the national headquarters of the Congress here and beat up party workers and leaders. This is patently criminal trespass. The goondaism of Delhi Police and Modi government has reached its zenith.”
The Congress staged protests in the national capital on the third day of Rahul Gandhi's questioning by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the National Herald money laundering case. The police detained several Congress leaders, including Sachin Pilot, on Wednesday. The police had also cordoned off areas around the party headquarters and barricaded it with increased police strength.

Condemning the alleged lathi-charge by Delhi Police inside the party headquarters, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel said, “Today police lathi-charged in front of the Congress office, they entered the office and lathi charged. It has never happened that there has been a lathi charge by entering the office of any political party, we strongly condemn it.”
CM Baghel further added, “Delhi Police falls under the central government and so the central government should apologise for it.”
