Google Pixel 5a India launch could be a success as company said to ramp up efforts

Google Pixel phones have been famous but not to the extent where they can fight off OnePlus and Apple. Google wants to change that now.
Google Pixel is among the most revered smartphones in the US, thanks to the exemplary photography skills. But that is not something you can say when it comes to India. The footprint of Google’s Pixel smartphones has been small but the software giant is looking to change that. A report by Economic Times said Google is mulling to “double down” on its Pixel strategy for India, which will include importing a large quantity of Pixel 5a units. This strategy is likely to ensure the upcoming Pixel phone does not run out of stock as and when it is launched. This year’s inventory for the Google Pixel is going to be much larger. "Google doubled inventory for Pixel for India last year and this year the intention is to further increase the focus and get [a] larger share from global inventory for the India market," a senior company executive was quoted as saying in the report. Google is expected to launch the Pixel 5a -- the successor to the Pixel 4a -- sometime in June but there is no particular date available as of now. And interestingly, there is no word on whether this year’s Pixel 6 will come to India or share the fate of Pixel 5. The reason why low-cost handsets, such as Pixel 4a and now the Pixel 5a, are going to be more popular than the likes of Pixel 5 is the affordability. Even though the Pixel 4a was not as much economical, it was still fairly available for an approachable price but because the competition from OnePlus, Samsung, Realme, and Xiaomi was so tight, the Pixel 4a had to make a case for itself. The Pixel 4a brought the same magic sauce that high-end Pixel phones flaunt, the cameras. And Google relied mostly on the Pixel 4a cameras to drive the sales.More Related News
