
Google Pay will allow users to delete transaction history in updated version

Google in a blog post noted that users can view and delete individual transactions and activity records with Google Pay’s updated version for Android and iOS. The updated version of Google Pay will also let users personalise their data for ads and rewards.
Google Pay users will now be able to delete their payment or transaction history as the unified payment interface (UPI) platform aims to give users more control of their account by “putting them in the driver’s seat to manage their data.’ Google in a blog post noted that users can view and delete individual transactions and activity records with Google Pay’s updated version for Android and iOS. Users can view and delete individual transactions and activity records that they don’t want Google Pay to use to personalise their experience by going to account.google.com. In the version that is not updated, Google only allows users to send feedback of any transaction from their payment history. Ambarish Kenghe, vice president-product, Google Pay, in the blog post noted that the new personalisation features will allow users to restrict Google from accessing their transaction history or share them with third parties. Based on the settings that users opt for, Google Pay will send them prompts or ads thus giving them a “personalised experience.” Users can also opt-out of this feature if they want to see any prompts or ads at all.More Related News
