The 2022 Winter Olympics begin this week in China’s Beijing and the opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday. Google celebrated the opening of the Beijing Winter Olympics with a cute doodle on February 4. The animated doodle displays some of the events which will take place during the Olympics.
“The competitive critters featured in today’s Doodle have gathered from all over the world under the winter sky to keep their cool and put their opponents on the ice. Who will be pouncing on victory and scurrying home an international legend,” the description on Google Doodle’s page reads.
The animated animals featured in the doodle can be seen participating in events like ice hockey, figure skating and skiing.
Nearly 3000 athletes from 90 countries will be competing in the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022. The opening ceremony will take place at the National Stadium, known as the Bird’s Nest, according to an NYT report.
