Google allows employees to relocate without justification after US rolls back abortion rights

In the email about the historic Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, Google noted that employees in states that don’t allow abortion can apply for relocation without explaining why.
Tech companies are taking action against the Supreme Court’s decision to roll back abortion rights. Google in its latest email stated that it will allow employees to relocate to states that allow abortion without any “justification”.
The email about the historic Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade noted that employees in states that don’t allow abortion can apply for relocation without explaining why. “This is a profound change for the country that deeply effects so many of us, especially women,” Google’s Chief People officer Fiona Cicconi noted in the email to employees, as reported by CNBC. Cicconi also said that “Googlers can also apply for relocation without justification, and those overseeing this process will be aware of the situation.”
Not just Google, other tech companies like Meta and Amazon have also announced plans to pay for employees to travel to receive abortions if they are in states that have banned the process.
