Goods train derailed in Punjab's Rupnagar, railway track blocked and 8 trains cancelled

A goods train was derailed in Punjab's Rupnagar on Sunday night. As a result, the railway track has been blocked and eight trains have been cancelled.

A goods train was derailed in Punjab's Rupnagar on Sunday night after stray cattle came onto the railway tracks.

As a result, sixteen racks were derailed. The incident took place near Gurudwara Patha Sahib.

The railway track has now been blocked and will be opened for traffic by Monday evening. Eight trains have been cancelled.
