Both gold and silver are trading on the lower side for the second time in a row on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Check the latest city-wise prices here.
The prices of both gold and silver have changed on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). The precious metals are retailing on the lower side of MCX.
With a dip of Rs 170 or 0.34 per cent, gold futures, maturing on October 5, 2021, stood at Rs 50,062 per 10 grams on the MCX.
Meanwhile, silver futures maturing on December 5, 2022, were retailing at Rs 56,037 per kg on the MCX with a dip of Rs 268 or 0.47 per cent.
Yesterday, while gold was retailing at Rs 49,160 per 10 grams on the MCX, silver was at Rs 55,200 per kg.
When the market closed, gold stood at Rs 49,319 per 10 grams, whereas silver was at Rs 55,379 per kg on the MCX.
The gold and silver prices in India depend on several factors, such as the value of the rupee against the dollar, and global demand plays a key role in determining the trends observed in the rate of precious metals. Due to the deadly spread of coronavirus across the country, these prices have been affected.
