Both gold and silver were retailing on the lower side of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on September 14. The gold futures, maturing on October 5, recorded a dip of Rs 66 or 0.13 per cent. The price of gold stood at Rs 50,069 per 10 grams on the MCX.
Meanwhile, silver futures also recorded a dip on the MCX on Wednesday. The silver futures, maturing on December 5, 2022, witnessed a dip of Rs 398 or 0.68 per cent on the MCX, trading at Rs 56,475 per kg.
Yesterday, when the market closed, gold futures were retailing at Rs 50,138 per 10 grams whereas silver was at Rs 56,811 per kg on the MCX.
The gold and silver prices in our country depend on the value of the rupee against the dollar, and global demand plays a key role in determining the trends observed in the rate of precious metals etc.
