Schools and colleges will be closed in Goa till January 26 due to a spike in Covid-19 cases.

The Goa government on Monday decided to shut schools and colleges again till January 26 in light of the rising Covid-19 cases of the Omicron variant. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant chaired the task force’s meeting Monday and imposed a night curfew in the coastal state as well.

On Sunday, Goa reported a Covid-19 positivity rate of 10.7 percent.
