The Goa government have withdrawn the order making parents' consent mandatory for children to attend physical classes.
On Tuesday, the Goa government withdrew its circular making parents' consent mandatory for children to attend physical classes.
In a new circular issued, the State Education Director Bhushan Savaikar requested the heads of the government, government aided, unaided primary, secondary, higher secondary, and special schools to not insist on parent's consent for students to attend physical classes.
The new circular came after parents raised objections to the consent forms.
Savaikar said that the circular withdrawing the requirement of consent from parents had been issued with the approval of the competent authority.
All educational institutions have started offline classes from last week, amid the decline in the number of Covid-19 cases.
